Lefkada

A walk in the city of Lefkada is one of the first things you should do on the island. It is also the port of the island and has a special urban fabric, reminiscent of “herringbone”. Walk in the beautiful alleys, which will lead you to small squares and observe the traditional houses, the ornate bell towers and the paved sidewalks.The fortress of Agia Mavra is located at the entrance of the city and was built in 1300 by Sikelo Ioannis Orsini in order to repel the pirates. Today it hosts Speech and Art Festivals.In the Archaeological Museum of the city you will have the opportunity to see findings from the Middle Paleolithic era until the 40th century AD.
Visit the lagoon, which is one of the most remarkable wetlands in the Ionian Sea. It is protected by the Ramsar International Convention, as it is considered a wetland of international importance and is a place that will impress you. There is a centuries-old fish farm in the area.
Take your bike and explore the island. Especially the city of Lefkada and its nearby beaches are ideal for cyclists. Ask the locals for the best routes, take water and a hat with you and get ready for orthopedics.
Nidri is considered the largest tourist resort on the island. It is offered for diving and water sports, while the pulse of the island’s nightlife beats there. Ferries depart from its port for Meganisi, Ithaca, Cephalonia and Central Greece. Get to know the beaches of the island with the crystal clear waters. Kathisma is ideal for water sports, the exotic beach of Ekremna and the famous Porto Katsiki are just some of the dozens of options for summer dives. Windsurfers and kite surfers will be thrilled at Ai-Giannis beach and Vasiliki. Mycenae – Epidaurus
Depart from our hotel to the Corinth Canal(short stop). Drive to Mycenae and visit the archaeological site and the tomb of Agamemnon (optional stop for souvenirs).After lunch through the plain of Argos proceed to Nauplia the first capital of modern Greece with its Venetian fortress of Palamidi and the fortified isle of Bourtzi (short stop). Continue to Epidaurus and visit the ancient theatre, world famous for its outstanding acoustic. Finally,drive along the coastal road of the Corinthian Gulf back to Aetoloakarnania.
Delphi
Depart from our hotel to Delphi drive through Nafpaktos, Galaxidi, Itea. Arrive in Delphi, the ancient sanctuary of Apollo, Visit the Museum in which one can see among other archaelogical the unique bronze Charioteer, then proceed through the sacred way of the Athenian the Temple of Apollo, the Castalia Spring etc. In the afternoon visit Arachova (sort stop). Finally,drive along the coastal road of the Corinthian Gulf to Aetoloakarnania
Ancient Olympia
Depart from our hotel, we drive over new bridge Antirrio- Rio.The western prefecture of Elia is home to some of the best farming country in Greece. Ancient Elia took its name from the mythical King Helios. The modern village of Olympia is 100 Km far from Patras. We will visit the archeological site and the historical Museum with the star piece of the 4th- century Parian marble statue of Hermes of Praxiteles a masterpiece of classical sculpture from the Temple of Hera. Also we will visit the place were the Olympic Games took place every four years. We will see the stadium, the gymnasium, the palaestra, the altis, the Temple of Zeus ,the hippodrome, the pelopion, the Temple of Hera.
After lunch we will have time for souvenirs in the village of Olympia. Finally, drive along Western Peloponnese to Aetoloakarnania.
Acherontas River – Nekromanteio – Parga
Departing with the bus from the hotel, towards the ancient place of Nekromantion. According to myth, Hermes guided the souls of the dead across Lake Acherousia to Hades. After visit we travel to the area of Glyki on the River Acheron. This is a region of outstanding ecological importance, containing a lot off wetland plants and trees, many of which are extremely rare. Here we will stay in the shallow waters, swim, take a river raft trip and have lunch in one of the river-side tavernas.
Our next stop is Parga, a beautiful town where you can swim, and relax in the promenade cafes or Greek tavernas for about 2 hours.
